ELITISM is an independent magazine devoted to design, art, cinema, poetry and the craft of looking. We publish essays, not press releases: slow readings of exhibitions, objects, images and language. Form first, fashion second, noise never.
The magazine began as a blogazine and was rebuilt as a proper book of the web—clearer pages, longer memory, the same curiosity. We favour primary sources, serious criticism, and archive rhymes over the news cycle. When something opens, we ask what it means to look at it; when something is made, we ask how the hand still shows.

How we work
Every piece is written in British magazine English with a thesis first, conceptual sections, and an ending that resonates rather than summarises. We link our own archive when it rhymes. We include a complicating beat when praise would be too easy. Research logs sit behind the essays; the public page should still feel like literature.
We are not a wire service, not an affiliate newsletter dressed as culture, and not a brand diary. We are a magazine: attention as a craft, beauty as an argument, culture as something you can still hold in the mind after the tab is closed.
